RFFA aluminium case resistors
Design and operation
The resistors of this family use aluminium housings, which can be mounted using side fixing slots/holes and have a high level of environmental protection (IP55).The construction of these resistors consists in the insertion of resistive spirals in special ceramic containers, which are then assembled in the relative metal housings, filled with a suitable inorganic filler resistant to temperatures above 450°C.
The characteristic application of this family of resistors is that of pre-charging capacitors, but also of braking.
